A few weeks ago, we were privileged to welcome Paula McGowan to Cheswold Park Hospital where she delivered a clinical teaching session to a range of our healthcare professionals. Paula passionately believes that the death of her youngest son Oliver could have been prevented had those responsible for his care had more knowledge and understanding of autism and learning disabilities. Paula has been dedicated to campaign nationally for better standards of care for people with autism and learning disabilities.

We were able to contribute by providing ideas and thoughts for potential course content for Paula to take back to the consultation meetings she has in the near future.
