As you may be aware, Cheswold Park Hospital has been shortlisted for the 2018 Nursing Times Awards in the Learning Disability Nursing category. This is thanks to the amazing work, determination, passion and resilience of our dedicated Learning Disability Nurses in reducing health inequalities for their patients. When Nursing Times asked for a photo of the nominees, we took the opportunity to further our campaign and demonstrate that Learning Disability Nursing and guidelines for care need to break free from traditional appearances and parameters. It was important for us to shine a light on the current battles and challenges they face daily in fighting to improve care provision within this sector.
