Koestler Trust is a well-known prison arts charity that works across the UK’s secure systems and criminal justice. With the aim to help people who are detained to lead more positive lives by motivating them to participate and achieve in the arts.
This year Cheswold Park Hospital entered 21 pieces of work covering 7 different categories:
Music: The hospital band The feisty Potatoes received 6 award certificates for cover versions of well know classics. Hip Hop and Grime 1 award certificate and 1 commended award
Art: Received 1 award certificate for painting and 1 award certificate for calligraphy.
Creative Writing: Poems 3 awards certificates 3 commended awards 2 highly commended award Flash fiction and short story: 2 award certificates 1 bronze award.
