The Wentbridge Centre is a newly commissioned non secure psychiatric hospital located within walking distance of Doncaster Town Centre and as part of the planned opening we are now looking for talented Registered NursesRNLD to help create and deliver this new service, so if you are a Registered Nurse RNLD looking for a challenge, personal development, growth, progression and believe in individualised care then this is the role for you.

About the Wentbridge Centre

The Wentbridge Centre is a specialist psychiatric hospital designed to support patients with mental illness and complex needs who would benefit from bespoke and reasonable adjustments to their care and treatment. To meet this need it only provides for 6 patients to enable the delivery of individualised care and treatment in a more domestic and less institutional environment and meet our core aim of swiftly treating, rehabilitating and discharging patients.

The hospital benefits from the nursing leadership of a nationally recognised and award-winning Chief Nurse supported by a Modern Matron who both lead on clinical standards, the delivery of exceptional patient care in a safe environment and who are driving a new development program for our nursing teams. Although the environment can be challenging from time to time, it is also very rewarding and now is an exciting and safe time to join.


Job Requirements

You will be a Registered Nurse RNLD, up to date with clinical practice whilst also having a real passion for developing your skills in an ever changing environment. You will be passionate about putting the patients’ needs above those of others, you will understand how to identify, evaluate and appropriately respond to risk so you, yourpatients and staff aresafe, you will know what effective care looks like and you will take real satisfaction in making a difference. Previous experience of having worked within a hospital setting would be desirable but not essential.
