The Sanctuary
As part of our continuing patient consultation Cheswold Park Hospital is pleased to announce the formal opening of the newly refurbished multi-faith room.
The vision for this facility was always to provide an opportunity for patients and staff, believers and non believers, to access a quite space for prayer, thought or stillness.
In discussions with the patient group, both a Patient Council level and informally we wanted to create a space that was not obviously a one denomination venue.
The patient group were asked to suggest a name for this space and as a result have chosen to name, the multi-faith room “The Sanctuary”.
The room will be formally opened by the Right Reverend Cyril Ashton, Bishop of Doncaster on Thursday 30th July 2009 at 10:30am.
